The International Relations, Service Audits, Quality Assurance, Research Department and the Economic Unit (IRSAQAR)
The International Relations, Service Audits, Quality Assurance and Research Department (IRSAQAR) has a wide-ranging remit. Its main functions include providing links between the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS) and other countries, conducting research that serves as a foundation for creating client-centred quality services, securing a high standard of service delivery across the foundation, and ensuring that operational activities are strategically planned, implemented, and followed up. The department also conducts research relating to economics, including the analysis of expenditure as well as the benefits of the services being provided by the foundation amongst others.
The operations of the department are essential in supporting FSWS to achieve its primary aim of offering quality services that help to prevent problems as well as improve the lives of children, adults, and families experiencing a range of social issues.
