The Children's Fund is a collective voluntary effort to raise funds to support children in need who currently use the services provided by the Foundation for Social Welfare Services. Since its establishment in 2003, the Fund, which is sustained through fundraising activities and donations, has managed to support thousands of children.
Besides efforts to encourage and support children and their families to help themselves overcome their social difficulties, the social workers may determine that the children and their families need financial assistance to meet their emergency requirements. In these cases, social workers make a request to the Children's Fund for financial aid through the procedure established in the Fund's policies and procedures.
The Fund assists children to provide them with equal opportunities in life as their peers. It tries its best to provide basic amenities for each child, and the help provided varies according to the different needs which are identified by the social workers and presented in the application.
