Intake & Family Support Services

This service acts as the first contact for clients who need assistance. Social workers within the service assess the case and take the necessary actions accordingly. After completing the assessment, social workers can either continue to work on the case themselves or refer it to a more specialised service. Moreover, this service also offers Family Workshops, which are support groups for families who need to learn new skills so they can cope with the needs of the family.

Among the topics discussed are parenting skills, budgeting skills, communication skills, and time management. These groups usually meet once a week for a period of six months.
