The Fgura United Football Club and the Foundation for Welfare Social Services have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This produces a collaboration between the two entities and aims to engage in the delivery of an addiction’s prevention programme. There will be two distinct preventive programmes dedicated to the youths in the U15 and U17 groups involved in the Football Club as well as the parents/legal guardians of these youths. The programme for the youths ​will entail an interactive approach which will include quizzes, games, videos and discussions. Topics that will be covered during these sessions are stress and anxiety, self-esteem, self-confidence, communication skills, social media and me, respect and tolerance and goals and aspirations.

This agreement is conjunction with 2 directorates within FSWS, ie Sedqa Agency and ACTS (Agency for Community and Therapeutic Services). This agreement will be in effect from February 2022 until February 2024.
