They will be expected to plan and facilitate stimulating activities tailored to the individual needs of the minors in their care, as well as manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a safe, professional, and effective manner.
The successful applicants will serve as a consistent and reliable presence, helping to create and maintain a stable, structured, and supportive environment. They will actively participate as members of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care planning meetings, case reviews, and assessments, while accompanying minors to appointments, educational commitments, and outings when required. Additional responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day operation of the residential setting and working collaboratively with social workers, therapists, educators, healthcare professionals, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
This is a shift-based role, including night duties, weekends, and public holidays.
