Executive III – Research

The Role

The Research Executive shall contribute to the planning, development and implementation of research within the various fields in which FSWS operates. The role involves applying both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including the design of studies, preparation of data collection tools, collection and collation of data, analysis, interpretation and reporting of findings. The Research Executive shall support evidence-based practice by ensuring that research outputs are accurate, relevant and useful for service planning, policy development, monitoring and evaluation.

The Research Executive shall also be responsible for analysing data for the preparation of statistical reports, processing research-related requests, maintaining proper records and supporting the continuous improvement of research processes within the Foundation. The post holder shall work closely with internal teams and other stakeholders as required, while ensuring that all work is carried out in line with ethical standards, data protection requirements and FSWS policies. The Research Executive shall report to the Leader of the Research Team, and the post is tied to the remuneration package as per the FSWS Collective Agreement Grade 4, with terms and conditions applicable in line with Recruitment Policy No. 16.

The Persons

Eligible candidates shall possess a Full MQF level 6 Qualification in Social Policy, Psychology, Statistics and Operations Research or other similar comparable qualification. Applicants must have an inclination for social research and data analysis.

Candidates must be fluent in Maltese and English to be eligible for an interview. Qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials. Applicants in possession of a foreign qualification/s are to produce with their application, a recognition statement on comparability of qualifications issued by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC). addition, candidates are requested to submit an updated CV including 2 referees’ contact details and a valid police conduct.
