Ms Sharon Bond is a Criminologist by profession. She holds a Degree with Honours and a Master of Arts, both in Criminology from the University of Malta. Her Degree dissertation was based on the laws against domestic violence, whilst her Masters’ thesis was based on mitigating money laundering. Prior to that she also studied within the Faculty of Laws at the University of Malta and achieved a Diploma.
Lately she obtained various certifications from ACAMS – Association of Anti-Money Laundering Specialists, which is an American Association, wherein she delved into the topics of preventing child online exploitation, fighting modern slavery and human trafficking, as well as ending illegal wildlife trade amongst others.
After having held a long career within the Civil Service, she is currently employed within one of Malta’s leading banks in a managerial role.
During her free time, she enjoys studying, reading, and walking or running.
