The Foundation for Social Welfare Services requires the service of a Full-Time Nurse to work with Agenzija Sedqa.
The Role
Qualifying candidates must assist and participate fully in the treatment plan which aims to support the service users throughout their detoxification and rehabilitation processes. The nurse must respond to referrals received and assist in the general assessment of the medical and clinical needs. The role of the nurse also entails monitoring the treatment and supervising the progress of the service user, whilst attending to administration needs and recording of interventions. Chosen candidates must be available to work on a flexible hour basis.
The selected candidates shall be accountable to the leader of the service.
The Persons
Persons applying for the post must hold either a first degree in nursing or a university diploma in nursing. The selected candidates must be registered with the Malta Council for Nurses and Midwives. Candidates currently working on a degree/diploma in nursing will be considered for this post and may be appointed to a lower position in the interim until full qualification is confirmed.
To be eligible for interview, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and fluent in Maltese and English. The qualifications and experience stated must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials. Applicants who hold a foreign qualification must submit a Statement of Recognition of Comparability of Qualifications issued by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) with their application. In addition, applicants are requested to submit an updated CV with contact details of 2 references and valid police conduct.
