FSWS invites applications for the role of Full-time Social Welfare Professional within the Correctional Services Agency.
Without prejudice to the need that may arise, the selected candidate may be moved by the management to another service in accordance to the exigencies of the Foundation’s services.
The Role
The main duties of SWP shall include, but not be limited to, the administration of assessments and by contributing to the drawing up and execution of correctional care plans. Responsibilities shall also include contributing to the CSA multidisciplinary team as required. Other duties shall also include compiling progress reports and conducting interventions according to the social needs of the inmates throughout their sentence and as part of the pre-release plans.
SWPs within CSA carry out their duties using their own initiative under the guidance of CSA Management and Social Work Team.
The Persons
Interested candidates interested in this role shall at least be in possession of an MQF Level 6 Qualification in Humanities or equivalent.
Candidates must be fluent in Maltese and English to be eligible for an interview. Qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials. Applicants in possession of a foreign qualification/ s are to produce with their application a recognition statement on comparability of qualifications issued by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC). In addition, candidates are requested to submit an updated CV together with a recent police conduct, two (2) referees and a copy of their certificates.
