The Foundation for Social Welfare Services invites applications for the role of Social Welfare Professionals within the Directorate for Child Protection.
The Role
The role of the Social Welfare Professionals primarily entails assisting in case intervention with vulnerable children and adolescents. Selected individuals shall participate in investigative assessments following referrals of children who may be at risk. It also entails assisting in care plans/action plans and participating in case conferences/case reviews to ensure a holistic and integrated action. The Professional must ensure that service users are offered protection through accurate timely interventions.
Social Welfare Professionals will work as part of a team and are expected to work on their own initiative but under the guidance of the Agencies’ Management.
The Persons
Persons interested in this role must be in possession of a Degree in Humanities (MQF level 6).
Candidates must be fluent in Maltese and English to be eligible for an interview. Qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials. Applicants in possession of a foreign qualification/s are to produce with their application, a recognition statement on comparability of qualifications issued by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC). In addition candidates are requested to submit an updated CV together with a recent police conduct, two (2) referees and a copy of their certificates.
