The Position

The Foundation for Social Welfare Services invites applications for the role of Parenting Coach within the Agency for Community and Therapeutic Services.

The Role

The professional shall deliver interventions aimed at supporting and improving; the parenting skills of parents or carers, the parent-child relationship as well as supporting caregivers to address challenging behaviour of children. This is done through the provision of parenting programmes such as The Incredible Years® child/parenting programme. Selected candidates shall be given further training on Incredible Years programme.

Such professional shall form part of a team of multi-disciplinary professionals within Home-Based Therapeutic Services.

The role entails being part of a team of professionals who deliver individual home parenting programmes, parenting groups and child treatment groups. In order to be able to engage multi-stressed families, the role requires flexible hours according to the clients’ needs.

The Persons

The individuals interested in this role shall be in possession of a minimum of MQF level 6 qualification in Humanities, or any other equivalent and comparable qualification.


Candidates must be fluent in Maltese and English to be eligible for an interview. Qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials. Applicants in possession of a foreign qualification/s are to produce with their application, a recognition statement on comparability of qualifications issued by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC). In addition candidates are requested to submit an updated CV together with a recent police conduct, two (2) referees and a copy of their certificates.
