The Position

The Foundation has been allocated funds under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund—AMIF.SO2.245, to carry out a project which aims to address the complex needs of human trafficking victims and survivors.
This project mainly focus on these principles:
· Prevention – the prevention of labour/sexual exploitation of third-country nationals, as well as awareness raising.
· Safe Accomodation – the project offers a secure environment where victims of human trafficking can begin the integration process without fear exploitation or harm.
· Direct Intervention – specialised assistance and support, including in specialised facilities/shelters and tailored social work asupport and counselling.
· Integration – the integration of third-country national victims of human trafficking in human beings in Malta.
· Networking – strenghtend collaboration between entities invovled in the field aimed at enhacing the overall effectiveness of anti-trafficking efforts.

The Role

The role of the Social Workers primarily entails case intervention with human trafficking victims and survivors. They shall prepare care plans/action plans and participate in case conferences/case reviews to ensure a holistic and integrated action. Selected candidates must ensure that service users are provided with professional standard of social work through accurate social work assessments, professional and timely interventions.
Selected individuals will work as part of a team and will receive supervision. They are expected to work on their own initiative but under the guidance of the Agencies’ Management. Crisis intervention is also part and parcel of the job requirements. The role shall be offered on a definite contract until end of December 2027 or for the duration of the project.
Social Workers are accountable to the Project Leader.

The Persons

Individuals applying for this post should be in possession of:
MQF Level 5 University Diploma in Social Work
OR
MQF Level 6 Degree in Social Work.
OR
MQF Level 7 Masters Degree in Social Work
The candidates must be able to communicate in both Maltese and English to the benefit of the clients. However, those candidates who are not able to communicate in Maltese and are willing to learn the language may also be considered by management on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials. Applicants in possession of a foreign qualification/s are to produce with their application, a recognition statement on comparability of qualifications issued by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC). In addition, candidates are requested to submit an updated CV including 2 referees’ contact details and a valid police conduct.
